Greg has been dedicated to the game of lacrosse ever since he first touched a stick. Growing up on Cape Cod in the 80’s, he had to learn a lot of the game on his own. After a successful HS career where he earned MVP of the EMASS All Star game and a trip to the first ever D2 State Championship game, Greg spent a postgraduate year at Wilbraham & Monson Academy, where he again earned MVP of the New England Prep School All Star game. He then went on to attend Springfield College where he was a two-time All American and is the second leading scorer in program history. Greg later competed at the professional level, playing five seasons in the National Lacrosse League with the Boston Blazers and the Rochester Knighthawks (where his team reached the 1995 World Championships).
As a coach, Greg has coached for close to 35 years at the college, high school and club levels. He spent 10 years coaching college lacrosse at schools including Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Nichols College, Ohio Wesleyan University (NCAA Div. 3 Semifinalist) and Colgate University (two time Div. 1 ECAC Champion). Greg moved back to his roots on Cape Cod in 2000 and coached Barnstable HS from 2001-2009 where he turned their program around making it to the MIAA Div. 1 Quarterfinals in 2007 & 2009. Greg also coached at Falmouth HS in 2010-2011 before shifting his attention to the Kings Lacrosse on a full-time basis.
Greg is also the founder of Cape Cod Lacrosse, which has been instrumental in the growth of lacrosse on Cape Cod. His summer college leagues, adult tournament and summer youth camps have been running for almost 35 years since 1995!!
